BrewBoard brewery upgrade their canning line, switching to the CF25

We were approached by BrewBoard late in 2023 with a view to replacing their US manufactured canning machine which they had struggled to get support on.

There was lots of discussion around the benefits of our machines versus other manufacturers and in March 2023, directors Stuart Chambers and Paul Archer visited the Innovus head office in West Sussex to view some of the machines being built in the workshop and get a closer look at the equipment.

Critical to their requirements was firstly a high level of technical assistance and commitment to supporting them in their transition between machines. Secondly, they wanted guaranteed low levels of dissolved oxygen (DO) and to ensure that the seaming aspect was both repeatable and reliable, both of which were going to keep the beer fresh for as long as possible.

We were able to provide assurance and demonstrate the capability of the CF25 canning line on all aspects. The key differences for them was having full control over the filling process with full adjustment to get the fill levels repeatable and also being able to adjust the level of foam to minimise DO. Stuart, being an engineer himself was also able to appreciate the level of quality in the materials, making particular reference to the hinges, as most people do when they see them!

BrewBoard visited us again once we had returned from exhibiting at BeerX, at the end of April 2023, to finalise placing the order for our CF25 with rotary infeed and outfeed tables.

background

We were able to complete the manufacturing process in a 10 week lead time, utilising our supply chain of local suppliers and in house manufacturing.

The CF25 was delivered to BrewBoard in July, with installation and commissioning completed in the same day. The following day, a full canning run took place, where the CF25 could really demonstrate its full capabilities.

The team at BrewBoard were extremely happy with the CF25 installation, with an immediately noticeable difference in the quality of the packaged beer.
